Baby Blog: June 3, 2011

We had another perinatologist appointment this afternoon. He said our sweet girls look great! We are so grateful for their health and that they continue to be complication free in this pregnancy. Such a blessing, and something that we are so thankful for each time we have heard those words! Baby A is measuring 2 pounds 10 ounces, and Baby B is measuring 2 pounds 14 ounces.

Now for the cervix update... Drum roll... IT LENGTHENED!!!! Not very much, but enough that we don't have to think about steroid shots and preemies (at least not for today...we know things can change fast)!!! There are no words for the relief that we are feeling. Seriously, no words. I cried tears of joy as soon as I got in the car after the appointment, and Landon has been thrilled as well. For documentation, my cervix is now 2.4cm. We still have to continue what we have been doing the last 2 weeks, but we are so grateful for today's report.

We know that our sweet girls days have already been written, and that their birthday is no surprise to our wonderful God, but it was a constant effort to not let worry overcome us these past couple of weeks. There is NOTHING like feeling concern over a child's health, and it has been a time of drawing closer to the Lord for our little family, trusting that he has the girls in his hands regardless of what happens.
