Cute Hubby
The ski countdown is now at 6 days. We are super excited (obviously)! We both tried on all of our ski clothes, just to make sure we had everything we needed. Doesn't hubby look cute?! I just love him so much.

Ice Day
I love snow/ice days! Landon and I are excited to sleep in, play Wahoo all day, and drink hot chocolate. I hope everyone enjoys their day off...

Lab Rat: Part 3
Refer to Lab Rat: Part 1 and Lab Rat: Part 2 if you are not familiar with my recent jaunt as a lab rat.
Well, this visit was all about drama. I began the day by arriving at 6:45am to get my exercise on. This might not be early for some, but this is a horribly early hour at our house. :) After exercising for almost an hour (stationary bike, treadmill, and Wii boxing), they began the same torture as visit #2.
The only difference this time was that the power kept going out, and we thought we were smelling fire, and then the fire alarm went off. They herded me outside with my IV and IV pole, and we watched as the parking lot filled up with police cars, and fire trucks, and a hazmat truck. And the lot kept filling, so that there where at least 5 police cars and 5 fire trucks. And then helicopters began flying overhead. I was still attached to my IV pole. :) After about 20 minutes, they decided to release me. They took out my IV in the parking lot, and we put it in a Target bag so that I could take it to the waste area in my clinic. And I had one measley Kleenex to stop the bleeding until I got to my building. Needless to say my shirt and coat were soaked with blood. But, as least I wasn't standing outside of a building with an IV pole in the cold.
Why did I sign up for this?! :)

Enjoying The Day Off :)
Well, today is MLK day, therefore I get the day off work. Another perk of working for the state!
We spent the weekend in Booker, Texas at Landon's grandma's house. It was a wonderful trip full of family, fun, and food. As per tradition, we went out to eat on Saturday night, and then had a Wahoo tournament. Nathan and I were on a team and we won one game, and almost won a second. Landon and Marla were teammates, and they also won one game. Unfortunately, the one game Landon and Marla won was against Nathan and I. I hate losing.
Exciting news...the extended family vacation is booked! The Wards, Roberts, and us will be heading to the Riviera Maya in July for a week of fun!!! We are already so excited. It's going to be hard to wait for 6 months for the trip! Yay.
In other vacation news...only 2 weeks and 2 days until our ski trip (we aren't counting or anything). We are ready to hit the slopes and enjoy Colorado with friends. Yay.

Lab Rat: Part 2
Refer to my original Lab Rat post if you haven't already read it...
Yesterday day was my second appointment as a research patient. I woke up at a really early hour, and headed to campus to begin my time as a lab rat. They told me to wear comfortable clothes, as I would be laying down in a bed for a few hours. Comfortable clothes it was. After arriving, they immediately started torturing me. They made me drink a milkshake, and then they put me in this bubble thing for 20-30 minutes, followed by a 10-20 minute break, for almost 4 hours... AHHH... The bubble was actually neon yellow and was really foggy, so that I couldn't really see out of it. And it hummed, which made me want to fall asleep, but they wouldn't let me. :( This was what I looked like...

This is what I felt like...

While they were torturing me in the astronaut suit, they also took my blood. They might have taken all of it in the 20 or so vials of blood that they stole from me. Vampires.

My next appointment is Wednesday. This time I will be exercising, then drinking my chocolate shake, and then doing the same thing as above. Should be interesting.

Honeymoon
We are on day 488 of our honeymoon. :) Here's a picture to reminisce from the actual honeymoon trip...

Day 487 of our honeymoon was a sad day...poor Sooners. I just want them to win a bowl game for Bob.

This And That
Please head on over to Mimi's Making Meals immediately. We made her Macaroni and Cheese tonight and it was amazing. She always has good meals to make in a short amount of time. YUMMY!
We went to Braums tonight to get milk. I sent Landon in for milk, skim for me and 2% for him. He came out really confused. I guess Braums has fat-free, 1%, 2%, or whole milk. He said he had no idea what skim really was, and the old man next to him told him that he thought it was 1%. How can two men not know that skim milk and fat-free milk are the same thing? I love him so much. :)
We saw Marley and Me today. Great movie! Take your Kleenexes.
Now back to relaxing...
