BFFs and Baby Bellies

I am going to do a baby shower post soon, but I saw this picture from the shower and it just made my heart happy. Baby Boy Hubbart is kissing Baby Girl Estep already. :) Have I mentioned how much I love being pregnant with Erica!!?!

Baby Blog: April 20, 2010

With lots of work by dad, Baby Boy's nursery is pretty much done! Landon has spent countless hours assembling, hanging, and vinyl wall lettering! He's already such a wonderful dad...I can't wait to see him with Baby Boy!!! The nursery has been such a fun project for us...we spread all the work out over the last 10 weeks or so, which means that there has been zero stress involved with everything! We love how it has turned out.
The photo below is a view from the door looking to the right. If you were to walk straight into the room from the door, you would run into his closet, so you kind of have to turn... Not sure that even makes sense.

This picture is standing in front of his closet and looking at the glider/rocker. The crib is to the left and the dresser/changer is to the right.

Looking at the dresser/changer (there will be a changing pad on the dresser eventually). The chair is to the left and bedroom door is to the right. And yes, his initial is underneath the paper in the frame...don't think I would actually give you all a name hint like that!

We are so excited for Baby Boy to come!!

March Madness: Final

Yay for Duke winning the National Championship...because that means that Baby Boy won the Golden Egg of Basketball! Ha! We still think it is so funny that he won based on a totally random and abstract strategy. Baby Boy's win shows us how "mad" March Madness really is! He did make quite a bit of $$$ with his win, and we are planning on buying him some stock or bonds with the $$$ once he is born. :)

In our small group bracket, the winner ended up being Landon. Booo. :) We had originally thought that I was the winner, but after looking at the final score, the winner was Landon. At least one of us won...

Landon placed 8th in his big money bracket! He finished out of the money, but he still did really well.

We're already thinking about how Baby Boy will pick his bracket next year. Any ideas?!

Happy Easter

We hope everyone had a very Happy Easter! We enjoyed the morning church service at Crossings first, and then we headed to my parents for a Mexican fiesta! My extended family was there, along with Julie's boyfriend and one of her friends from college. It was a big and fun crowd!! After eating, we headed out to hunt Easter eggs. Yes, Landon and I hunted Easter eggs... Like my parents still hide them for us and we hunt eggs as if we are children. I love it. This was Landon and my last year as Easter egg hunters though, as we will be pushing around an off-road stroller next year and teaching Baby Boy the way to hunt eggs. :)

Landon is a little bit disappointed that Julie's boyfriend found the coveted Golden Egg this year. :) Landon has never found the Golden Egg, so he is super sad that he won't be getting the chance again. Maybe Baby Boy will find it next year...


I tried to make Landon take a kissy picture, but he refused because it was Easter. Ha!


Um, yes, I am growing fast! Baby Boy was 31w 2d in this picture!

After reading this post, it sounded kind of shallow. Lots of Easter egg talk, and no talk of the sacrifice made for our salvation. Needless to say, we are grateful and humbled...this year more than ever as we prepare for our sweet Baby Boy.
